Journal Response: Week 12

Procedural Generation in video games is honestly quite fascinating to think about. How it works if you take a bunch of random numbers in the form of a seed, and that seed turns itself into a specific way that a world is made. By "world", Minecraft is a perfect example of what it means to have procedural generation in a video game done right. Every seed of Minecraft is unique. Every time you open up a new world of it, you're exposed to a different experience because of it's ability to randomly generate worlds. This concept of letting the game build itself is intriguing. While I don't fully understand the concept 100%, I understand what it means to have a randomly generated experience.
